Understanding Email Notifications
Email notifications help keep users informed about important activities in eScribe 6, such as approval requests, task assignments, meeting publications, and account access. Depending on the workflow, some notifications are sent automatically, while others can be sent when an administrator chooses to notify users.
Approval Notifications
Users involved in approval workflows receive notifications when action is required.
- Contributors receive a notification when they start an approval workflow.
- Approvers receive an email when it is their turn to review and approve a document.
- Assistants receive notifications when an approver they support has been assigned an approval task.
- Delegates receive notifications when an approval task has been delegated to them.
Task Notifications
Users receive email notifications when tasks or action items are assigned or updated, helping teams track and complete follow-up work efficiently.
Meeting Publication Notifications
When meeting materials are published, notifications may be sent to different audiences:
- Participants can be notified when meeting materials are published and available for review. Administrators choose whether to send these notifications.
- Administrators can also receive publication notifications when enabled.
- Visitors are automatically notified when a meeting is published for visitor access.
