Document Templates can be removed completely or can be simply replaced with a new document. To begin working with Documents  follow these steps Navigation>Documents> Document Templates:

Making Edits in the Word Document

To edit an existing Document Template, select Edit Template from the Options menu. In the flyout panel, select Open Document to launch the eScribe Document Editor.

Document Templates can be edited directly in the eScribe Document Editor which includes changes such as adding/removing approved Content Control boxes, formatting and spacing. Administrators will not need to download the word document to make edits.

From the fly out, click "Replace File" to upload the new file in eScribe.  Existing Documents created using the initial file will not impacted in anyway and will still appear in the Draft or Approved List.

Removing Existing Template

To remove an existing Document Template, select Remove Attachment from the options menu. Remove Attachment only removes the document leaving the entry remaining in eScribe. Removing the attachment does not impact any existing Documents.

Deactivating a Template

If a template is no longer needed, Administrators can deactivate it to prevent Contributors from selecting it. The template can be reinstated at any time. Deactivating a template only affects its availability going forward and does not impact documents that have already been created.

Deleting a Template

Administrators can delete document templates that are no longer needed. Once deleted, the template is permanently removed and cannot be reinstated. Any documents previously created from the template remain available and are not impacted by the deletion.
