Before an Approval Request is initiated, contributors can enter a comment in the textbox that will be visible to all Approvers. The comments captured at this stage are only accessible by viewing the Approval History, either through the main options menu or the Approval History options.
Currently, these comments are not included in the email notification when a new approval task is assigned.
Comments from Author to Approver
These comments captured in the image below are entered before the approval process begins and cannot be modified or deleted.
Approved Document - Approval Request
Once an approval task has been initiated, approvers can leave a comment for the contributor. These comments will be visible to the contributor and to all users who have access to the document through the Approval History and/or the Approval Request. Currently, these comments are not included in the email notification when a new approval task is assigned.
Approval History
In the image below, the Approval History displays the first Comment captured by the Contributor for the Approver(s). The second red box indicates the comments captured by the first Approver.
