Webinar Follow Up Q&A:
Question #1: Regarding eScribe 5 & 6 not being at feature parity - could you specify what features are being removed? We would like to see a list of changes and feature enhancements.
Answer:
Great question. The features we decided not to build in eScribe are negligible and, for most of you, things you will never notice. These are things that were rarely used, or that have been redesigned and improved so they are no longer needed. Creating a list of these is impractical because of the design differences. But we don't plan to eliminate anything of significance. And, if after using eScribe 6, our customers tell us that something important is missing, we can always add that to our priority list.
Question #2: Can you confirm that all documents produced will be accessible as per accessibility standards?
Answer:
eScribe 6 will meet the same accessibility standards as eScribe 5, however formal testing hasn't been conducted yet. We're dedicated to accessibility and recognize its importance. If you have any concerns, please feel free to reach out to us.
Question #3: We are a new customer, just in our implementation phase now, should we stop and implement on eScribe 6?
Answer:
If you've already trained users, we encourage you to move forward with eScribe 5. We can get you up and running more quickly, and meet dates and commitments you've made to others. We can then upgrade you later when the timing is right.
For those who haven't started training yet, we recommend discussing this with your Implementation Consultant. Depending on your organization's needs, we're happy to explore whether you would be a candidate for an early eScribe 6 implementation.
Question #4: When can we get our hands on eScribe 6 to test and update all of our internal training materials?
Answer:
We understand the importance of adequate preparation, especially when it comes to training your team on a new platform. As your upgrade date approaches, you'll gain access to an educational platform where you can familiarize yourself with eScribe 6.
We'll also provide you with sample emails you can use to communicate to your team. When your upgrade has been scheduled, we recommend beginning the process of updating your internal materials. But don't worry, your dedicated Customer Success Manager will be there to provide guidance every step of the way. Remember, you're never alone throughout this upgrade process, and we're here to support you.
Question #5: Can we get an update on user management improvements?
Answer:
Absolutely! The good news is that there will be improvements for user management with eScribe 6. Here is some of what is in store:
- More intuitive permissions at the user and meeting levels
- Meeting Pro licenses & signature pictures directly assigned to user profiles
- New users can inherit document access automatically through departmental permissioning
We are committed in making investments in this area and future improvements will come post-launch. We'll make changes thoughtfully, ensuring they're easy for you and won't disrupt your experience. We'll introduce future updates gradually, so you can learn them easily and your site stays familiar.
