Agenda Items

An Agenda Item is a specific topic, section, or entry on a meeting agenda. It represents what will be discussed or decided during the meeting (e.g., “Budget Approval,” “Project Update,” “By-law Review”).
It acts as the container or placeholder for content related to that topic.

Agenda Items that are added either by an Administrator or Contributor will populate under "Agenda Items" from the left hand menu. Items that are added to meetings do not pass through a formal approval queue consisting of an audit trail or version history.

When an Approved Agenda Item is added to a meeting, there are no tagged fields that are extracted for the item to appear on the agenda. Information such as the Title, Description and Motion are all entered in the Create Agenda Item flyout by the author.

Documents
Documents are the files attached to an Agenda Item. They provide the supporting information or details needed for discussion or decision-making (e.g., reports, PDFs, presentations, bylaws).

Documents that are added to a meeting most often pass through an official approval queue with detailed version history and audit trail in eScribe. When an approved Document is added to the agenda, tagged fields within the document such as Title, Description and Recommendation will be extracted.
