Administrators can further configure how to handle Documents that are in progress, once approved and managing late items. To configure options, navigate to Documents> Document Settings> Approval Settings > Edit Approval Settings.

Enabling this option allows pending documents to be marked as read only. |
| Set Approved Documents as Read-Only | Enabling this option allows approved reports to be set as Read only. |
| Include Signature Page |
This option serves as a default value for whether signature pages should be affixed to the document after it is added to an agenda by Creating an Agenda Item or Attaching a Report to an Agenda Item. |
| Late Items | |
| Allow | This option allows the report writers to submit the report without receiving any notification that the item is late and it does not pass through a separate workflow. |
| Do Not Allow | This option informs the user that the meeting submission deadline has passed and they must change the meeting date. |
| Require Exception Approval | Forces the user to run a “Late Exception Workflow” in order to approve the document for late submission (a workflow that interjects in the regular workflow to get “exception approval”, after which the regular workflow resumes). |
| Mid-Approval Late Items | |
| Allow | This option allows the report writers to submit the report without receiving any notification that the item is late and it does not pass through a separate workflow. |
| Cancel Approval Request | This option informs the user that the meeting submission deadline has passed and they must change the meeting date. |

Inform the Meeting Administrator that a Mid-Workflow must be started. |
