A Sponsor is typically the person sponsoring the presentation of this report.  During a report's approval process, if assigned, the Sponsor will receive an email when the Workflow Approval Starts and is Complete. For example, this person can be a Department Head, Director, General Manager, or the report writer themselves.

The Sponsor field is available in two areas of eScribe and will be broken down below:

  1. Creation of a Report
  2. Agenda Item Details

The Sponsor Role when creating a new Document

If the Sponsor people picker is used by a Contributor when creating a Report, the Sponsor will receive a notification when the Workflow begins and when the report is approved. The Sponsor will follow the properties of the Report and when the Report is added to an agenda, the Sponsor will be automatically listed on the agenda item.
