Tagging of a Document Title, Description, Recommendations and other additional extractable fields are completed by adding Rich or Plain Content Control boxes directly into the Word document. Following the steps below provided will ensure that Administrators can add and edit additional fields as necessary.
Inserting the Title Tag
To Insert the Title tag, you will first need to open your Document template external from eScribe. Ensure the Developer Tab has been enabled prior to adding tags.
Click on the area of the report that you would like to become the Title:
Once your cursor is in the area that you would like to tag, click on the Developer tab on the ribbon and select the Content Control Box icon.
Once the tag has been added to the Document Template, click in the Title tag and then click the Properties button in the toolbar.
In the pop up, add the corresponding tag to the content control box: eScribe-Title and click OK to insert the tag. We also suggest Locking the field by placing a checkmark next to " Content control cannot be delete" prevent editing or deleting of the Title tag in the Document Template.
To add additional tagged fields, Administrators can repeat the steps from above and changing the tag for each field. When adding tags ensure the tags do not have any extra spaces before the tag is entered.

Locking Fields
Please Note: The following steps are optional and allow you to prevent users from accidentally deleting properties by “locking” them or preventing them from being edited. This requires the Developer Tab to be enabled in Microsoft Word. Please see the Help Article Adding the Developer tab to MS Word
On the Developer tab, select Properties
Select Content control cannot be deleted to prevent a report writer from deleting the field, or Contents cannot be edited to prevent a report writer from changing the data in a field (for example Report Numbering, to ensure the automatic report number is not changed in the report) then click OK
