If a report is assigned to a Contributor for an approval, then there are two ways of approving that report:
One way is by checking the email notification to approve the report:
Clicking the "View Approval Request" button opens a new window with Approval Request task. Click on Approve button to approve the report.
Note: To decline a report simply click on Decline button.
2. Another way to access your workflow approvals are from the Approvals menu option from within the contributor view (or if signed in as an Administrator, select Action Log from the main eSCRIBE menu and select Approvals) and click on the report name for the item that you wish to approve.
In the eSCRIBE Approval Workflow click on Approve to approve the report and send a notification to the next approver (if applicable).
Note: Declining a document simply sends an email back to the initiator with accompanying comments. The document can be re-submitted to an approval workflow at a later time.
Note: Approving a report before the deadline, will move the deadlines forward. For example if the first approver completes their approval the same day the workflow starts, the next approver will have the same deadline as the first approver.
Once a report is approved the status of the report changes to Complete.
