Approving a Document as a Delegate – Approvals Tab
When a Document begins an Approval Request, users assigned to the Approval (Approver or Delegate) will need to complete the approval through their Contributor account in eScribe. All pending user approvals are located under the Approvals tab and clear out once completed. The legend below will guide users through the Approval process (Follow Steps 1-6).
| Step | Expected Behaviour |
| 1- Approvals | The Approvals option will list all Documents pending Approval for the user. |
| 2- View Pending Request | Guides user to the Approval Pending Request Screen. |
| 3- Comments | Allows approver the option to leave comments when Accepting or Declining a request. Comments can be accessed through the Approval History menu option of the Document. |
| 4- View Document | Allows user to open the Word Document to view and make changes as needed. Any changes made will be visible to the next user in the Approval queue if applicable.
Please note: user maybe asked to enter their credentials to access the Word Document. |
| 5- Manage Supporting Documents | Allows user to add additional documents, Reorder, Rename and Delete. Approvers can edit documents that are created using Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PPT) only. |
