A secondary motion, such as an amendment, is typically used to change the contents of a main motion that is on the floor.
There are 2 types of secondary motion:
- Amendment - A motion to modify the text of a resolution on the floor.
- Main Motion as Amended - Selecting this type of motion will create a new vote, pre-populated with the text “Motion as amended”. This option is only available if there is an amendment to the main resolution, and a secondary motion is added to the main vote.
To Add a Secondary Motion, go to the motion's options menu and then click Add Secondary Motion.
In the following pop up ensure the correct "Type" of motion has been selected as Amendment or Motion As Amended.
