A resolution number may be assigned to an item that has a templated motion and can be incorporated into a new motion within a meeting. However, for certain items like Adjournment, assigning a number is optional and not necessary. To assign a new resolution number to a Motion, begin by clicking  Minutes Tab> " Add Motion " to the desired  item in the meeting:

In the Add Motion fly out, click "Click to Assign" purple hyperlink to assign a new resolution number. The resolution number is not fully assigned to the Motion until the user clicks "Add". In the event the user clicks cancel, the number will not be assigned and returns back to the pool to be assigned.

In this example, the number format is  {{MeetingYear}} - {{SequenceNumber}} (ie 2025 - 002). In the event the Administrator overrides the text in the textbox, the number will change in the meeting site only. The Meeting Template will display the next number in the sequence in the event the number is changed at the meeting level.

The assigned Resolution number will appear as configured in the Meeting on the left hand side ( administrator navigation) as well as the Motion on the right hand side.
